An eloquent first term MP from Garissa county may soon have a date with the court after one of his former bodyguards threatened to have him compelled to pay his dues.
The youthful MP, known for only employing his relatives, is said to have pocketed his guard’s Sh19,000 two-month allowances.
The bodyguards’ allowances are paid by the Parliamentary Service Commission through their MPs.
Some MPs have taken advantage and pocket their aides money. Attempts by the MP to have the aide sacked have failed.
