The Wajir Governor Mohammed Abdi Mohamud has made changes in the just appointed CECs. In an unprecedented move the Governor has replaced his yet to be sworn in Special Programmes CEC Mrs. Ebla Bashir Hassan with Ahmed Sharif Bulle.

Ebla was moved to the less glamourous Energy docket.

However, Governor Abdi explained the move was aimed at achieving efficiency and strengthening service delivery of the county government.

A section of local residents are wary of what they call “other people running the show” besides the governor.

They attribute the appointment of the Finance CEC Mr. Daud Abdullahi to Eldas MP Adan Keynan whom he previously served as Personal Assistant.

Governor Mohamed on Wednesday unveiled the much awaited list of nominees for the county executive committee.
