Wajir county marks Internation midwives day

The theme of the day was “midwives needed now more than ever to save lives of mothers and babies in the County government”.

The governor said that he will discourage home deliveries conducted by untrained traditional birth attendants.

He said his government has so far constructed 26 maternity wards, 7 dispensaries and employed over 200 healthcare professionals to help in safe delivery.
