Somalia is among the five african countries that has qualified to particapate in the World Minifootball federation (WMF).
The country is one of 24 countries from all over the world who will participate in the tournament. 20 countries have so far confirmed their participation in the World Cup, including the United States, Romania, Russia, Germany, Hungary and Spain.
Hassan Abdi Goodah, the Somali Football Federation president said Somalia is progressing in term of football.
Somalia is in the same group with Brazil and Russia.
The competition will be held from the 6th to 15th of October this year will be at the World Cup in Tunisia.
The opening ceremony scheduled for October 6 will include an exhibition match between African football stars and world stars and will be hosted by Senegalese El Hadji Diouf, ambassador of mini football in Africa.
WMF World Cup is an international indoor soccer competition contested by the senior men’s national teams of the members of World Minifootball federation (WMF). It was announced in November 2013.
The first edition of the WMF World Cup was held in 2015 in the United States and was won by the host country.
