The Siaya County Assemby has adopted a motion to draft a Peoples’ Assembly of which Opposition Kingpin Raila Odinga proposed. Central Sakwa Member of County Assemby Johannes Andiego tabled the motion on Wednesday and members unanimously advocated for secession of the region from an oppressive fascist regime.
The move to establish Peoples’ Assembly is expected to be embraced by all County Assemblies in NASA strong hold zones not only Nyanza but also Mombasa, Busia, Kakamega and other parts.
Mr. Andiego said President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election did not reflect the views and the full will of majority of the Kenyans. “Uhuru cannot be vested with sovereign powers of the republic since he is not legitimately elected by all the people in 47 counties,” he reported. The IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati announced that Uhuru got 98 per cent of all votes cast, placing the voter turnout at 38.84 per cent.
NASA supporters in Kisumu, Migori, Homa Bay and Siaya boycotted the repeat presidential election following instructions from NASA’s presidential candidate Raila Odinga who withdrew from the race a few days to the election date after his party’s irreducible minimums were not met.
Andiego regretted that Jubilee administration has masterminded the art of subverting the supremacy of the constitution by employing crude laws to achieve their desires of wanting to rule the people of Kenya according to their wishes even if it means by use of force.
