Residents of Wajir town turned up in large numbers today at the Orahey grounds where they performed prayers for rain.
Locals turned to seeking divine intervention after the biting drought was hugely felt in the County.
Cases of livestock deaths and malnutrition have been reported in many areas within the county while the shallow wells across the town have dried up causing massive shortage of water in the North Eastern Kenya town.
On Saturday, area leaders appealed for help at a press conference in Nairobi.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has already declared the prevailing droughts in the country a national disaster and called for international help.
Wajir is among areas worst it.
