By Nepjournal correspondent:

Following increased terror attacks in the Country, the Government launched operation Usalama watch in Nairobi’s Eastleigh area. Illegal immigrants and refugees were rounded up and returned back to their Countries and refugee camps respectively.

The operation was condemned by members of the Somali community who felt targeted and profiled. Human rights organizations also took issue with the way it was conducted.

Police was accused of extortion and bribery but the National police services repeatedly absolved its officers from blame saying they received no official complain from any quarters.

A youtube channel dubbed INFORMACTIONTV released the video below that shows money exchanging hands.
