A North Korean official representative Kim In Ryong says a nuclear war could break out at any moment from now. He maintains, North Korea wants a nuclear free world but the nuclear war might begin because of United States’ extreme and direct threats.
The North Korean deputy UN representative revealed the US has called for direct talks with Pyongyang (North Korean state) the situation of the Korean Peninsula feud with America has reached a touch-and-go point therefore, nuclear war may break out at any moment Kim In Ryong told the UN General Assembly’s disarmament committee on Monday. “The whole of US mainland is within our firing range, so if the US dares to invade our sacred territory even an inch it will not escape our severe punishment in any part of the world,” he said.
North Korea has repeatedly boasted of its nuclear weaponry power and of its range. The isolated state has tested 6 nuclear missiles since 2006 and it is believed they are capable of reaching the US territory of Guam. International efforts by the US, European Union, Russia and closest ally of North Korea China have done little to suppress the nuclear arms program embarked by Kim Jong Un. In his address to the UN disarmament committee Monday, Kim In Ryong said his country supports the total elimination of nuclear weapons in the entire world. However, as long as US constantly threatens and blackmails North Korea with nuclear weapons, his country cannot disarm.
His remarks point out to a twitter statement of US State Department head Rex Tillerson who told the US media that diplomatic efforts to diffuse the crisis would continue until the first bomb drops. The North Korean diplomat said, “no country in the world has been subjected to such an extreme and direct nuclear threat from the US for such a long time.”
Rex Tillerson has been pushing for a diplomatic solution while other key US officials have used aggressive language provoking Pyongyang fury. In August, US president Trump pledged to respond threats from North Korea with fire and fury the world has never seen.
