More boys did KCPE in NEP than girls

Schools in North Eastern Kenya recorded gender disparity in favor of boys in the recently released KCPE examination results.

Boys occupied most of the chairs in the examination rooms with the figures standing at 66% in Garissa, 64% in Wajir and 67% in Mandera.

Figures however indicate an improved trend as compared to the previous year.

In 2014, boys were 67% in Garissa, 68% in Wajir 68% and Mandera 68%.
