League One side Sheffield United have penciled forward Jose Baxter for the second time in nine months.
Nigel Adkins side have not specified why they have taken the action against the 24-year-old former Everton beginer.
During his time at Everton, Baxter was released without charge after being arrested on suspicion of possession of Marijuana with intention of supplying the drug.
A statement released by the club said: “Procedures are being followed and no further comment will be made until the completion of these actions.”
He joined ‘The Blades’ from Oldham Athletic in 2013, and has scored 20 goals in 93 league appearances.
