Francis Nyenze, Kitui West MP and former Minority Leader has passed on.
Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua confirmed the news saying that Mr Nyenze passed on Wednesday at the Nairobi Hospital.
The body has been moved to Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi.
Mr Nyenze had arrived in his swearing –in ceremony on August 31st carrying an oxygen tank.
He got there at about 10am, with the tank strapped on the torso and the tubes snaking up his back.
He appeared weak and was limping but put on a brave face and addressed the array of reporters at the entrance.
Mr Nyenze., Kanu-era Cabinet minister, fruitfully safeguarded his Kitui West seat on a Wiper Democratic Movement party ticket in the August 8 General Election.
He was born on June 2, 1957 and was a close friend of Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
