JOB VACANCIES: PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD – WAJIR COUNTY GOVERNMENT

ADVERT NO. WCPSB/041/14: SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER (JOB GROUP P)

Reporting to the Board Secretary

Duties and responsibilities

  • Implementation of organizational strategies and policies
  • Carrying out general office management
  • Preparation of Board minutes, committee reports
  • Supervision of all secretariat staff
  • Setting and overseeing internal operating rules and regulations
  • Promotion of high standards of professionalism
  • Establish efficient recording, filing and tracking system of all office inventories, mails and files
  • Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements for appointment

  • A Kenyan citizen
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or Social Sciences
  • Over ten (10) years experience in administration, with demonstrated five (5) years experience in an equivalent position.
  • Master’s degree in Public Administration or Social Sciences is an added advantage.
  • Satisfy the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya.

 

ADVERT NO. WCPSB/042/14: SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER (JOB GROUP K)

Reporting to the Senior Principal Administrative Officer

Duties and responsibilities

  • Carrying out general office management
  • Circulate agenda of meeting and organize meeting venues
  • Supervise staff duty attendance
  • Monitoring internal operating rules and regulations
  • Promotion of high standards of professionalism
  • Monitor file, mails and other correspondence movements
  • Performing any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements for appointment

  • A Kenyan citizen
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or Social Sciences
  • Over five (5) years experience in public or private administration
  • Computer literate
  • Satisfy the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya.

ADVERT NO. WCPSB/043/14: ASSISTANT DEPUTY DIRECTOR – HUMAN RESOURCES (JOB GROUP P)

Reporting to the Board Secretary

Duties and responsibilities

  • HR planning, training and development
  • Advising and implementing HRM policies, rules and regulations
  • Organizing HR audits and preparing HR audit reports
  • Coordinating and implementing performance management systems
  • Developing an efficient and effective HR information system
  • Advise on, develop and implement schemes of service
  • Develop and implement staff disciplinary programmes
  • Performing any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements for appointment

  • A Kenyan citizen
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human resources management or social sciences
  • Knowledge on labour laws applicable in Kenya
  • Over ten (10) years experience in HRM, with demonstrated five (5) years experience at senior management level
  • Master’s degree in HRM is an added advantage
  • Satisfy the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya.
