Contractors who do shoddy work should not expect any payment from the County government, Mandera Governor Ali Roba has said.

Speaking after inspecting several road projects in the county, Roba said that he was impressed with the work done by most contractors.

He however directed 5 out of the 15 contractors working on the roads to repeat some parts of the work which he said did not meet expected standards.

The 577KM all-weather murram roads will link the six sub-counties of Mandera

He added that it will not be business as usual in the County as quality will not be compromised.

The County Chief was accompanied by the county monitoring and evaluation committee and some members of his executive committee.
