Garissa Deputy Governor Mr. Abdullahi Hussein (second right) inspects a road project

Garissa County Deputy Governor Mr. Abdullahi Hussein says contractors who fail to deliver quality work risk losing business with the County Government.

Speaking after inspecting development projects in Ijara and Hulugho sub-counties, the second in command of Garissa County directed all contractors to meet the expected standards of any work they do failure to which they will not be paid.

He assured residents of the County that quality of services will not be compromised adding that those who intend to reap from where they have not sown will be in for a rude shock as they will not be paid.

“If you don’t want to deliver quality service, then you should not do business with us” said Mr. Hussein.

Instances of multi-million projects turning out to be shoddy have been on the rise with contractors looking more into profits than professionalism.

This is attributed to the fact that many contractors are ill equipped for the jobs they bid for.
