Four men were charged on Tuesday with sexually assaulting a female doctor in Eastleigh, Nairobi.

Abdi Kafar, Mustafa Abdi, Abdallah Jama and Harun Ali allegedly “manipulated” the victim’s hips and penetrated her private parts using a metal rod.

The four were also charged with violently robbing the doctor of her vehicle valued at Sh980,000, and wounding and abducting her with the intention of harming her.

They allegedly committed the offense on July 14 at Muratina road.

The four were further charged with being members of an organised criminal gang, named Superpower.

A report by the prosecution stated the doctor was attacked while driving on Muratina road after closing her clinic within the area.

The prosecutor said the gang took control of her car and forced into a back seat without saying a word.

The court heard that the suspects not only harassed the victim but also forced her to suck their private parts. She obliged as they had threatened to kill her.

One suspect who was the gang leader took a metal rod and asked the other suspects to force it into her private parts, the report says.

Police said the woman screamed for help in vain and was left at Shauri Moyo area unconscious, having bled profusely .

“They warned her never to go to Eastleigh area or she would be killed,” the prosecution said adding the thugs drove away with the doctor’s car but did not steal anything.

The four were later arrested after being identified.

They denied the charges before chief magistrate Heston Nyaga and were remanded to Pangani police station.

This was after the prosecution sought to take exhibits to the government hospital for analysis.

The case will be mentioned on August 5.
