Thirdway Alliance presidential candidate Ekuru Aukot name will be included in the repeat election, the high court has ruled.

Justice John Mativo made the ruling on Wednesday saying the rights of Ekuru Aukot was violated by denying him the right to participate in the repeat election.

Justice John Mativo said Ekuru Aukot was among the petitioners challenging the election of Uhuru and therefore should be included in the repeat election. Justice John Mativo ordered IEBC to include his name in the repeat election.

Ekuru Aukot was seeking to be included in the repeat election; he said his rights were infringed.

“I believe my political right and that of my constituents as enshrined in the constitution are threatened, violated and infringed on by the decision of IEBC and chair Wafula Chebukati to exclude me in the fresh election without lawful justification,” Aukot said.
