Muslims around the World will tomorrow mark Eid-ul-Fitr to mark end of the Holy month of Ramadhan.
In Kenya the moon has was sighted in Garissa, Wajir and other Muslim inhabited settlements.
However the Chief Kadhi Sheikh Ahmed Muhdhar says the day will be marked on Saturday, July 18, 2015, the same day gazeted as a public holiday by the government.
“Idd celebrations will be marked on Saturday because we did not sight the moon and we have not received any communication from faithful in East Africa. Tanzania and Zanzibar have not sighted the moon either,” he said.
He was speaking to journalists in office on Thursday afternoon.
