Garissa Township member of Parliament, Aden Duale rebuked NASA’s latest call for donation to fund their campaign, saying it was a mockery of the highest order.
He said it was quite unfortunate, that instead of seeking for votes from Kenyans, the opposition principal Raila Odinga was busy asking for donations to fuel his campaign.
“I was shocked to see the NASA leader Raila Odinga now seeking for donations instead of going to the people to seek votes like what Uhuru Kenyatta has been doing,” said Duale.
Earlier today, Raila asked Kenyans who want to go to the ‘promised land’ with him to “buy tickets” by sending donations to the Opposition.
The NASA principal asked members of the public to give money for campaigns for the fresh election on October 17.
The Garissa Township legislator also asked the electoral body’s chairman Mr Wafula Chebukati to conduct a major clean up in a bid to give Kenyans a free and fair election.Majority leader Aden Duale has urged the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to involve both the political divide in their preparations in readiness for the fresh Presidential election in October 17.
“We are telling the chairman Mr Chebukati to clean his house and speak to the nation on how the commission is prepared to handle the fresh presidential polls,” said Duale at Parliament Building today.
Campaigns for round two of the presidential election officially began on September 6 and will end on October 15.
