Duale pulls a ‘Miguna’ on Esther Passaris after online spat over Raila’s IEBC demands

By NJ Correspondent

Nairobi Woman representative Esther Passaris was yesterday given a ‘Miguna Miguna’ response by Majority leader Aden Duale after engaging the outspoken Garissa township MP on social media following a news article in which Duale dared opposition chief Raila Odinga to remove the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

In a comment on the news article by a local daily titled “Raila kama wewe ni mwanaume kula utoe IEBC” associated to Duale, Passaris queried the Majority leader’s age, education level and upbringing saying she doesn’t get why he utters such statements.

But in a quick rejoinder, Duale gave the Nairobi Woman MP a ‘Miguna Miguna’ answer summarizing his life in a way that ‘fixed’ Passaris, known to never mince her words when taking the war to her opponents.

“To Esther Pasaris, am 50yrs old, with decent humble Islamic upbringing, went to national schools and known universities, married to a descent wife with 5 sons. That’s Aden Duale. Am sorry I have no space.

You are a Nairobi women Rep with powers to legislate, represent and oversight, Aden Duale is none of this?

After you undergo the 12th parliament orientation next week, we can then have a parliamentary leaders discourse; not ready for anything else” Duale posted.

Supporters of the two leaders gave the online war the impetus it deserved, each throwing salvos at the other to spice up the brewing exchange.

Passaris supporters had this to say.

The bitter exchange comes days after the Supreme Court nullified the presidential aelection and ordered IEBC to conduct fresh election in 60 days.

NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his team however turned the heat on the electoral body saying it was not fit to hold a fresh election as the ruling party found they never adhered to the law.
