Officials at Garissa County referral hospital confirmed receiving 15 bodies and 58 people with gunshot injuries so far although the figures are expected to rise.

The terrorists are still inside and Kenya’s elite Recce squad are reportedly battling them as other inter agency teams of security personnel keep vigil from outside the compound.

University officials say 535 students unaccounted for.

Al-shabaab have claimed responsibility through spokesman Ali Dheere.
