County will invest in education even though it is not devolved, says Roba.

Mandera Governor Ali Roba awards best pupils in Elram primary  school, Elwak sub-county

Mandera governor Ali Roba said that his administration will continue to invest in education to improve performance in national examinations.

Speaking at Elram primary school in Elwak sub-county while officiating over the school’s prize giving ceremony, Roba appealed to all stakeholders in the education sector to keep the fire burning.

“Whether it is devolved or not my government will invest in eduction to ensure performance continues to improve.Nothing is worth celebrating than a good performance” he said

Elram primary school registered an improvement of 52.87 marks in its mean score from 235.2 in 2013 to 288.0714 in 2014.

The governor was accompanied by members of his executive committee and other senior county officials.
