Governor of Garissa county Nathif Jama says that his administration will invest heavily in water projects to cushion herders from droughts.

Speaking at Hagarbul after launching a borehole in the area, Nathif said that livestock was the back bone of the economy of Garissa and was worth investing in.

The Governor is on a developmental tour of Dadaab Sub-County accompanied by Senator Yussuf Haji and other top county officials.

The governor also officially opened an ultra-modern market in Liboi.
