Former Arsenal star Nwankwo Kanu will visit Kenya on 2nd of April to over see a seven-a-side Inter-Media Football Challenge that will be hosted at the Moi International Sports Centre.
The tournament which is sponsored by StarTimes will consist of 20 teams.
The event will subsist a children clinic to be part of the event.
Alex Mwaura, StarTimes Public Relations Manager said that he is pleased that the company chose Kanu to be their StarTimes ambassador.
He is an inspiration to many because his success story is the typical African narrative of rising to stardom against all odds. He is a star the man next door can relate to and we are proud that he is coming to Kenya to interact with football enthusiasts, said Mwaura.
During his stay the Nigerian is expected to promote his Kanu Heart Foundation initiative which is aimed at helping save underprivileged African children with Cardiovascular disease.
Kanu has won a UEFA Champions League medal, a UEFA Cup medal, three FA Cup Winners Medals and two African Player of the Year awards amongst others.
He is also one of few players to have won the Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League, UEFA Cup and an Olympic Gold Medal.
