Al Qaida-linked terrorist group Al-Shabaab claimed to have killed at least three soldiers and wounded several others on a bomb fixed on a roadside on Saturday evening.
The bomb was targeted on a military convoy patrolling outside port city of Kismaayo located over 500 kilometers South of Mogadishu.
The terror group through their Pro-Al Shabaab Radio Andalus reported that they have attacked Somali soldiers in Goobweyn village which is a 20 Kilometer East of Kismaayo town.
Al-Shabaab’s military operations spokesman, Abdul-Aziz Abu Musab said their militants carried out an attack on Somali soldiers at Goobweyn village killing three including senior security officers.
Jubaland administration have not given any comment about the claims.

Al Shabaab has claimed responsibility for many attacks in Mogadishu and central and northern Somalia.
Its attacks have focused on the government officials and its perceived allies, AMISOM troops and aid organizations in a bid to overthrow the western-backed Somali Federal government.
This attack comes amid the preparation to hold the presidential election this week on Wednesday February 8, 2017.
